My Students

Whether its a science read aloud or a lab sheet, students want to follow along and are able to with a document camera. Not only would this camera be useful for our science reading, but our math lessons and games would be able to be viewed by the whole class.

My students are engaging and energetic.

They love to listen to stories and use their hands. They attend a Title One school in the city that has about a 90% free and reduced lunch rate. However, don't let the income rate lead you to stereotypical thinking; my students are very intelligent and have a variety of dreams. When asked why they want to go to fifth grade and beyond, the responses included to become a veterinarian, chemist, police men and women, teacher, doctor and much more.

My Project

In a world that is quickly becoming more and more technology driven, it is essential that technology be a part of our current classrooms. It is through this technology that our children learn how to work and live in our ever increasing technological society. Our document camera will be a tool we use to increase engagement and to allow all students to follow along with our readings and current activities.

The document camera will be an impacting tool in our classroom that will allow us to get to fifth grade and beyond.

This piece will be an essential part of our daily routine and will be an asset to the learning of all students.
