My Students

My 12-14 year old students are the sweetest, most thoughtful kids I’ve met. They don’t all come from a lot but they work hard and have amazing goals for their future. A lot of students have dealt with trauma, particularly during the last two years of the pandemic. My goal is for my students to have the tools needed to be successful and gain confidence in math class.

My Project

The supplies I am requesting are essential for my students to use during math class. While I have purchased 18 calculators this year with my money, I am hoping to get a class set with a few extras so that students can also check them out when they need them for home. My students are very diverse and want to do well. By providing them with functioning calculators, they will have a better opportunity to succeed in math class. All students deserve access to working and functional technology such as calculators.
