Help me give my students a Kaplan "Whats Inside Me Doll" and "Broken Bone X-Rays" to encourage them to become more curious about their bodies. Natural wood and botanical blocks and packs will excite them to explore creatively!
Our school strives to create a family environment for our students where they can gain a love of learning and build self-confidence. We serve 20 amazing students that live within the poverty level. All of our students come from different lifestyles and past experiences.

I strive to teach my students skills that they can carry with them throughout their lifetime and that will help shape them into successful individuals. I teach them how to become independent, how to show empathy, how to be successful, and how to problem solve.
My Project
These materials will help bring the natural wonders of the world into our classroom! With so many students who are interested in scientific reasoning and how the world works, integrating these materials into every part of our classroom will be an incredible blessing! The nature and botanical blocks and materials will entice students to think creatively and think outside of the box that is perfectly shaped wood blocks, plastic cars, and stiff toy animals. With an anatomy doll, tooth model, and broken bone x-rays children will feel inspired to further explore how their bodies work in relation to the world around them, increasing the sense of importance to health in such a unique time.
All children are driven by curiosity and wonder for the world around them, and materials to discover more about this world will create a thriving and confident learner.
Children now may have more questions than ever about their world and how it works, and with environments changing so rapidly it is important for their resources to be evolving as well. I am thankful to have many of my students so intrigued by science each year, and find it quintessential to encourage their discoveries through up to date materials in the classroom.
