Science Teachers Desperate to Be Creative ... Yet Again!!

My students need 100 pairs of scissors, 8 packs of glue sticks and a set of 24 stackable storage bins.

I am one of a dozen science teachers at a NYC High School, that is desperate to help my students be creative in science class. We all teach in a very diverse school - racially as well economically.

Unfortunately, as with most urban school districts today, there is just not enough money to purchase the supplies teachers need to make school interesting as well as educational.

Which is why I am asking for your help. In this proposal I have requested enough scissors and glue sticks to be shared by the teachers of the science department, as well as bins in which to store and organize these supplies. With these supplies the students will be able to make their environmental collages, the cell as a city posters, the posters for the wall of human disease. The students will have the supplies they need to complete the research posters for the symposium in the spring and the many environmental seminar classes will now have supplies for all of the students be able to complete their projects such as on climate change, corn, land and water usage.

With your help, we can make science class a fun and exciting experience as well as an educational one!! We can help students to express and display what they are learning about in new and creative ways!!
