This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from Toledo, OH and they amaze me every day. Students choose to attend our magnet business academy where they work to become leaders in their community and to serve others. Our school is for students in 7-12th grade.
Our students engage in project-based learning in all subjects, while earning their business credentials to prepare them for the next steps beyond high school.
All of our students participate in internships and utilize 1:1 technology in all of their classes. My students strive to become college and career ready and our school serves as a support for them to reach their goals in whichever ways they need.
My Project
Our scientists use poster paper for modeling and facilitating discussions. Writing and drawing are an important part of science. In addition to writing and drawing on poster paper, the Neon Expo markers are used to diagram directly on their work tables. Laminating pouches protect stations and task cards for many uses.
These supplies seem basic, but they are the foundation to a science lab to allow my students to plan and present their work.
By donating to our project, you are increasing academic success for our students.
My students must participate in the engineering design process and the scientific method. The requested supplies facilitate both processes and allow my students to continue to close the achievement gap.
