I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, they come to school each day eager to learn with a smile on their face and a story to tell. They are hardworking, energetic, and fun-loving! My students love to participate in hands-on learning and learning through play. In the classroom, we practice being respectful, responsible, and safe. I strive to create a positive atmosphere for my students.
These science kits will allow my students to embrace their curiosity! The kits will be used during center time while the students are independently working. They can explore each kit at their own pace! There is a variety of science topics so the students can also choose what interests them the most!
The materials have everything students need to build science skills step-by-step… including a double-sided chart with picture instructions that make it easy to work independently - even for nonreaders.
Throughout the year, we will be learning about plants, animals, life cycles, magnets, motion and nutrition. These materials will help boost the students learning and maintain their curiosity.
