Help me give my students a work table and storage cabinets for all of the science and math materials we use during the year.
This project expired on March 14, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students come in all shapes and sizes and they each bring something unique to the classroom. Many of my students come to me first thing in the morning to tell me about something they witnessed or discovered since last being in my classroom. My students are natural scientists and the creators of amazing questions!
Our classroom is a space where students experience a supportive, collaborative community.
Our classroom is a place where failure is part of the cycle of learning. Our classroom is a place where there is nowhere to hide misconceptions. We continually work together to help one another master new and old concepts!
After Hurricane Florence we have to move to a 'new' classroom. Well, the new room has NO storage. And we have a lot of great science and math items that need to be securely stored. The cabinets we seek to have donated will help with this. And the long work table will be where we set up and arrange our awesome science experiments. Without these items we will have to store our science stuff on the floor in boxes. Ugh! The work flow process will be awful and it will be so depressing.
We really need alternative places in our classroom to work, experiment and collaborate.
Students love and need to have space to set up and run interesting experiments.
