Do you remember the thrill of being in an engaging science class? Seeing something new and experimenting during science was the highlight of my day when I went to school. I am trying to provide that to my students in a safe and fun way.
My students are energetic, smart, and curious.
They attend a public school that contains many hard-working and motivated teachers. The students crave an attention grabbing class with lots of activities and hands-on learning. They also know the importance of safety gear in science.
My Project
Besides trying to show my students how interesting science can be, safety is my number one priority! My students know I always have their safety in mind and I want them to know that their school and generous donors do too. With new safety equipment, I will be able to do more labs during my chemistry unit. For example, my students will be able to better learn about pH, which has to do with acids and bases,since their eyes will now be protected from them. Having the new safety gear will also further impress on them the importance of being safe in laboratory situations.
The safety gear that I am asking for in this project will keep generations of my students safe from potential laboratory accidents.
The donations will ensure that more labs will be able to be performed in my class. These labs will in turn help to "turn on" students to the joys of science.
