My Students
My students are very curious and enjoy learning new things. They ask a lot of questions and like to do experiments. They like to do activities in the classroom in which they can explore, design and discuss the results. The students like to engage in hands-on- activities and ask challenging questions.
A lot of my students are thinking of their career paths and the assignments can help to promote their future endeavors.
My students have demonstrated a strong desire to learn new Science terms, vocabulary and topics. A lot of reading, writing and Math is involved. My students will be able to continue their work using literacy, Math and Science skills together.
My Project
The students will be using Science, technology, literacy and Math concepts. The materials that I hope to obtain for the students will engage the students in team building, design and creativity. The major topic that we will be learning more about is simple machines. We will be using texts, technology and build various simple machines to model each of them. This will include screws, wheel and axles, pulleys, etc.
The students will be introduced to a variety of lessons and hands-on activities.
They will be able to read, explore and draw their own conclusions. This will help to enhance their writing skills, comprehension and critical thinking skills. I will be able to observe their work and grade their finished product. It will be a great hands-on-activity on several levels. As their teacher, I can observe their interaction with their peers, intellectual skills and communication skills. At the end of the lesson, the students can share their work and present it to the rest of the class. The students will also write about what they have learned about this topic.
Science can be fun, engaging and a great learning experience. The students will learn that Science is everywhere. It is around us. They may have a lot of questions. There are so many things that we take for granted in the world. Science, Math and literacy are closely related and can answer a lot of questions. The lessons will entail all of the major subjects with the use of technology.
