This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will help my sixth graders conduct labs to deepen their understanding of our universe. They will create space galaxy playdoh that will look just like the nighttime galaxy (thanks to the black food coloring and different colors of glitter). The flour, salt, cream of tartar, and vegetable oil will create the basis of the playdoh. They will also create constellation viewers using the film canisters, wooden skewers, and tape. They will also create their very own space themed board game. They will use the posterboards and dice to create their game. After their game is created, their classmates will play it.
