My Students

My students are inquisitive 5th graders who love to learn through hands-on experiments and the use of manipulative. I love that they are excited about learning and are so engaged during Science and Math class each and every day. They are eager to work cooperatively with their peers to explore and work through the lessons presented to them.

My Project

These balances, scales, beakers, and ration number line math manipulatives will be used to aid my 5th grade students in hands-on learning during Science and Math class. These materials will go with the current curriculum that we use to aid in exploration and engagement of science and math standards.

These materials will create authentic learning experiences for students that will help them to make connections to the real world and make more meaningful experiences for students of learning abilities as well.

The math manipulative will help students in understanding fraction concepts that are sometimes difficult to grasp.
