Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very lively and are bursting with personality! They need to turn their energy and 'people skills' into productive yet entertaining educational movies. My students live in the inner city of Paterson.
Sadly, many of the students lack the resources and support to have technology experience at home.
Unfortunately, with the cuts and lack of funding our schools are having difficulty providing the necessary provisions to help our students prepare and compete in the 21st century. I only have outdated computers to teach on which half the time do not work.
My Project
I want for my students to learn and discover all there is about Magnets, Motion and Force, and Sink or Float. I have a very eager group of learners that are full of energy, ideas, and creativity.This STEM bundle will allow my first grade friends to discover, inquire, and learn about these topics.
My students love to look at things up-close, like all children, the microscope kits will allow my students the ability to explore things all around them.
We also need a camera and microscope to display things onto our board because we do not have as many copies of everything we are supposed to be learning. With this camera and microscope I can show the students how to use manipulatives, we can look up close at something all at once, we can even have whole class science experiments!
