Science rocks! Science is super! We love science! Yes, that is how all kids feel at the age of 8 and 9. I don't why, but it is the greatest thing ever!
I love science, but then I'm one of those crazy individuals that just does. It's different with kids though. You can't imagine the excitement that shows all over there little faces when they discover something new about an animal, the solar system, or as simple as everyday weather.
Science is so important, but unfortunately at the elementary age we just don't seem to encourage it as much as at the middle and high school age. Since I love it, I try to provide extra science resources to keep my students up to date and the interest flowing.
My students need a few new resources to keep science alive in our classroom. They would love some new books about animals and the solar system, and the whole class would go crazy for National Geographic DVDs.
