Help me give my students one central place for all their science manipulatives!
This project expired on May 30, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Most are second language learners, who need visuals and extra support learning the language. The area around the school is mostly apartments. My students need extra supplies in order to jump start their learning and get them ready to start reading and writing. Students are so enthusiastic about learning and wanting to grasp the language, sounds and words. With these supplies, students will have the opportunity to get to where they need to be in kindergarten.
Students need more shelving for their science hands on learning. Our shells, tree stumps, magnets and wands, and mirror cubes need a home! Currently they are on a makeshift shelving rack that I acquired from another teacher. Please help create a fun, safe, learning environment for my students and their science materials. It would be a great addition to our class, and it would be used for years to come. Some of our science materials have to stay on the windowsill for safe keeping. The mobile science station would be a great way for students to observe at their eye level of the various life cycles currently in our class.
