Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The urban district in which my students attend school is very diverse. A large percentage of my students are from low-income households. Many students receive free or reduced-price lunch and are provided breakfast each morning. Even though these students are surrounded by hardship in their lives, they come to school every day ready and willing to learn. My present classroom is full of eager children who enjoy learning. They are happy to work together. I want to provide them with every opportunity to become productive learners.
My Project
My students need a safe storage cart for their science materials. My little learners are curious, innovative and technologically savvy. They love to visit the science area in the classroom however our storage area is not efficient. The new cart would enable my students to have access to all materials. The cart would help the my students safely store all our science things. This cart would also help our materials stay in tact for years to come. Having a new science cart would also help us stay organized and allow more time for meaningful learning experiences. This would be a great addition!
