This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and love sharing their stories even via ZOOM. Working in a Title I school means that most students come from different cultures, ethnicities, and social-economic groups. Regardless of everything that is going on in our world, each school day, we make the most of our time together, as they learn a new language, learn to count, learn to read, and write.

My Project

Teaching science in kindergarten is all about hands-on explorations and engaging experiments. My students love when we have science because it is a time when they are able to explore the real world and learn new information.

Due to Covid19, I am facing a tremendous challenge when teaching science this year since 50% of my students are learning virtually from home.

It is also a challenge to provide individual material for students who are on campus, to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. By funding my project, I will be able to give my students access to fun and engaging hands-on activities that can be used by the students at school and the students learning from home. My students at home would be able to check out the science materials and use them at home to enhance their learning experience. This will give my students the necessary resources to help them become more prepared for first grade.
