This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are ready to implement our new learning from the Science of Reading to better engage our learners! In the past several years, the research field has revealed more about what works, but school budgets haven’t been increased to supply those resources.

By purchasing instructional materials and book sets, our team will be able to incorporate effective Science of Reading techniques.

Magnetic wands, phonics word-building rods, and decodable books are just a few of the resources we would use grant funds to purchase. The jump rope readers from Heinemann and Hand2Mind tools are just the right thing. We believe this builds excitement and buy-in for our scholars. Our literacy team wants to inspire readers, and to do that, we need many more books and other materials.
