This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We create interactive science notebooks with models and notes on each topic. 8th Grade Science covers a wide range of topics, from Chemistry to Physics to Earth Science. We have to work hard to learn about the phenomena in our world. We also work hard to internalize our learned information in preparation for the end of year exam.

When completing homework or during review, my students eagerly refer back to their notes from labs, activities, and lectures.

Their careful upkeep of notebooks becomes a source of pride. More importantly, this critical middle school science knowledge becomes the foundation of their science education in high school and beyond. These notebooks, not readily available in our local area, will become their every day used tool both in class and studying at home.
