Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our kindergarten students are eager to learn and are full of questions! They love coming to school each day and are always ready to try new things!
We want to create an environment where our students feel comfortable and can have fun learning and exploring!
They love to participate in hands-on and engaging activities.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are an incredible group, and we are so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn!
My Project
We are asking for magnifying glasses, science and math big books, play dough, and laminating pouches. All of these things will help the kids engage in new learning, and get excited about many science, math, and literacy standards.
The students will get to use the magnifying glasses during science to explore and learn about the world around them.
We will use the big books to help students learn and revisit many science and math topics along with connecting it to literacy. The play dough will be used during centers to help students with fine motor skills, letter names and sounds, counting, and spelling words.
