This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a charter school for middle grade students that is located on NSU campus in Thibodaux, LA. I teach grades 5-8. I teach Science, Character Building and Typing to my students.
All of my students struggle with some type of learning disability.
They strive every single day to do the best they possibly can, all while having to compensate for disabilities out of their control. My students learn best when they can be hands-on and magnets are one of their absolutely favorite things to learn about!
My Project
The items listed will help my students explore several Science concepts using a hands-on approach! Several fun activities use magnets in class and the students really enjoy using them. I've also added a review game that the students can play to review several Science concepts. This will be a great resource for early finishers! Students love to play games and they will learn without even realizing it!
I've also added a case of copy paper; this is for general classroom use.
We are provided with two cases of paper per year and that never seems to get us through the year!
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and put to great use!
