My Students

My students are amazing! They are facing some big things in their life (not to mention just regular growing up stuff) but they always work hard and have a positive attitude. We have fun learning in our classroom and I hope that students will walk away with a passion for reading and science, or at least liking it a little bit more than when we started at the beginning of the year. I can't wait to see my students grow up to do amazing things with their lives!

My Project

My students need hands-on models, replicas, and a microscope so that they can do science instead of just reading about it.

A digital microscope will help all my students see what we mean when we talk about cells.

The cell models will help them relate what we see in the microscope to a typical cell.

We teach about the rock strata and density but it usually doesn't sink in for students. The items bought with this project will help make some abstract ideas more concrete. It will bring labs into the classroom to assist with learning. It's going to be great!
