Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an eighth grade science teacher at P.S./I.S. 123 in the Bronx, New York. I have been teaching science at P.S./I.S. 123 since 1992. Throughout the years, my students have truly benefited from Project Based Learning activities and the use of educational games as part of their classroom learning process. Educational games are a great learning strategy because they involve challenging my students to do their best. They also create a sense of positive sense of competition, which allows students to improve and expand their knowledge. One of my students' favorite games is Jeopardy. Many of my students share with me science questions they have seen on the Jeopardy Game Show. I truly believe the use of Classroom Jeopardy will greatly increase my student's interest in science and their desire to succeed in their educational life. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to make science fun in my classroom.
