My students are from an inner-city school where they have experienced more than they should at their age. It is a poor community with not a lot of money and hands-on resources are limited.
Even though we have a science curriculum, it is lacking with the hands on resources, books, photographs, and experiments that are needed to help the students understand the basic principals of science.
These materials would help all students, on all academic levels, have a better understanding of the Solar System and Motion/Force
My Project
My students come from a district that does not have a lot of money to spend on extra items, like hands-on resources or books for science. With 4th grade having to be assessed by Pennsylvania, on their science knowledge, it is imperative that they are enriched with as much material as they can, as well as, understand the content.
Even with our science curriculum my students are still lacking in the basic understanding of science or the development of basic science principals.
With the purchasing of these science materials, books, and experiments they will be able to gain a better understanding of Earth and its surface.
