Our multi-age classroom is a community of learners and growers. We spend two years with our students, guiding them and watching them blossom. We emphasize working together and being a community. Each student helps another and learns in the best way, by teaching.
Our students are an amazing and diverse group of third and fourth graders.
They come from high poverty areas. School is often their comfort place and provides food as well as stability. The school is Title I funded. Our classroom is like a community, and we want the students to feel comfortable and safe to learn.
My students are always in need of new and exciting Science materials. We are currently switching our science curriculum to NGSS. That means we are virtually starting over with our resources and curriculum. The school was able to give us a minimal amount of money to buy supplies for our third and fourth graders.
We would love to have these science materials to help us grow our learning.
The circuits, light bars, conductivity stick and Newton’s cradle will help the students learn about force, motion and electricity. The fidget balls will not only help students with focus, but our students can explore how they work and function along with our NGSS . The laminating pouches and binders will help keep our science units organized abd long lasting. Not only will these tools help us to learn about Science they are super cool resources to have in the room at all times for the students to explore with.
