My students come from very diverse backgrounds. I have students of different cultures and socioeconomic levels. They range in ability levels from far exceeding grade-level skills to being far behind their peers. Some have parents who are deeply involved in their educations and others do not. The world they are going to lead is changing every day, and we need to prepare them accordingly.
These kids need every advantage we can give them in order to prepare them for life in the 21st century.
They're so excited to learn and apply that knowledge to their world. Giving them materials that are engaging and exciting will feed that desire to learn and grow.
As their teacher, it's my goal to create students who enjoy learning and see school as a place to look forward to going, not a place to be endured. It is my job to help prepare these students for the changing world that they will soon control, and I want to ensure they are ready to take it on!
Students today are the scientists of tomorrow. They will be the ones creating new technology and doing experiments in a few short years. My job is to encourage the curiosity that will fuel those future innovators.
SuperScience is a magazine that presents real-world scientific information to students in a way that sparks the interest of our kids.
The material is colorful and engaging and encourages students' interest in reading nonfiction material. My (next year's) class will love receiving these magazines monthly and being able to share their information with their families by taking the material home after we've studied it in class. Thank you for your generosity in helping me encourage my future scientists!
