My students need magnifying glasses, center activities, a bookcase, books, models of a body and hands-on learning materials so they can get excited about science.
Do you remember when you last walked into a classroom and saw objects around the room that peeked your curiosity? You wanted to find out what you were going to learn that day. I want my students to get excited about learning science from the minute they walk into my classroom.
The students who attend this public school come from lower to middle class families.
They are a great bunch of very enthusiastic six and seven years old children. My class is very colorful, with students who are Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, Israeli, and Pacific Islanders.
My Project
I am asking for several science, hands-on, learning centers with magnifying glasses so my students can get a better look at the objects. I am also asking for a science book organizer and books on the weather, landforms, animals, rocks and soil, and life-cycles to put in it.
I want my students to start off at a young age being passionate about the mysteries of science!
I want them to know that there are so many things to get excited about when learning about our earth and everything associated with it.
