This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Where did all of these landforms come from? That is always the question.
Our students are kids that like to explore.
They love hands-on projects and especially those that make a mess. They go to a 100% free and reduced lunch school. They love science and they need more ways to explore the work around them. Many have not ever traveled far from their home.
My Project
My students need supplies for a plate tectonics projects like modeling clay, a sea floor simulation kit, and an investigation on plate tectonics. The project supplies will allow us to have a hands-on project to explore plate tectonics. This is a good way to get students involved in the scientific process. They will actually create models of continental plates. The classroom simulation will be an ongoing project.
Thank you for having the SIMS grant available to supply the classrooms with quality science supplies and resources.
The students will enjoy the project and we can use the classroom simulation for years to come.
