Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach students in 7- 9 grade in East Oakland they are in Moderate Severe program; they are adapting to the new changes they are facing, they are limited to the things that they are capable of doing that's why it's important for that they cook and make their own recipes.
My students love cooking while learning about science, we are constantly working on new ways to improve not just on our cooking but also doing science; they get excited knowing that they are getting dirty.
My Project
My students are eager every morning to talk and plan our next science/ cooking experience. My students use their imagination, to think of a million ideas of what we are going to be creating. My students will be exposed to learning more of science, they are discovering the causes and effects of mixing different things, the quantity required to get a specific outcome.
Science is topic that my students and I are always talking about in class, the way in which we always incorporate science in everything we do both consciously and unconsciously.
My students are always impress in how our lessons turn out magical and powerful.
