My Students

"Students, parents, faculty, and staff working together as a whole... 100% is our goal. Learning with love, laughter, and fun... High expectations for everyone!" is our mission statement. We are a second to fifth grade school with about 300 students. They range from ages 7 - 11. We have 14 Regular Education classes and 4 Exceptional Children's classes that I help serve.

My Title I school is located in a rural area where 100% of our students get free breakfast and lunch.

Students are not exposed to as many experiences as peers in other areas. Most of our parents work full time and many have two jobs to support their family. We also have several military families in school.

My Project

Goggles are an important part of any science lab. I would like to give each student their own pair when they walk into the doors so they do not have to share. The beakers will be a great start to my new science materials collection. The storage containers will help keep everyone nice and organized.

Hands-on experiences are how kids learn the best.

I am currently trying to incorporate more science labs into our sciences classes. We are hoping to add more materials until we have a fully stocked science lab that all teachers in the building can use.
