Sixth grade, 3 classes of students! As a career change educator I want to give my students all that they need to help them succeed. I am now teaching science and social studies to three classes.
My students are all different with different interests.
Learning is fun! I hope to instill a love of learning. I want them to get a hands-on approach to learning while having fun too! Science is fun and I want my students to be excited about it. Social Studies is so important and left out at times I want them to learn about the world.
My Project
I am asking for some help for science games for my new sixth graders. Science is a subject that can get left behind in the curriculum and I want to help bring it to the forefront. I want to help students learn and love science.
As a recently moved teacher from fourth to sixth grade I have students with no supplies or books for science.
I want to get them engaged and excited about learning science not just copying notes in their copybooks. Hands-on learning is a critical part of truly understanding science. Please help me help my students!
