We are a low-income area and have a large Native American population as we are in the heart of many different tribal lands. Our schools also have many English learners and many migrant families. I strive to build strong relationships with all my students as they are my second family. I adore them and want nothing more than to see each and every one of them succeed!
My students go the extra mile and strive to be the greatest they can be!
This year has been a strange one and one that will definitely go down in history. Many parents are nervous about exposing their students to others given the current circumstances. So, we have many students opting for an independent study program, and that is where I come in!
These students have to be self-motivators! I prepare their work for them and help them where needed, and they complete it on their own schedule. This is definitely new for me, but I am so excited to help these students achieve their academic goals in any way I can.
My Project
This course is offered through the University of Phoenix and is required to obtain a science credential for teachers. I am looking to become well-versed and full of knowledge in the categories I feel are important to my students. Art and Science both hit home and I know that I need to be an expert in order to teach it appropriately.
This course begins in July (7/20/21) and is a 6 week course.
I will be completing it just as the new school year begins and I will have more knowledge to bring to my students, to engulf them in science and excite them about the possibility of science in their future.
