This year I have a great group of energetic, fun, and sweet kids who love to learn by doing. They are an active group who love to get into the exciting learning by doing it hands on. They are kind and care about one another. They love creating stories and listening to them. They enjoy science and experimenting with the world around them.
My school is a new school going into it's second year of being opened.
The students are almost all new and are learning about each other and the environment around them. They are gaining friendships and building trust both with their peers and me. We enjoy talking about thinking positive and how that brings about positive things in return. When they come in with their sweet spirit it makes me smile.
They are quick to remind me of anything that is needed and quick to help when a hand is needed. I feel like such a lucky teacher to have these amazing kids in my classroom this year.
The students are in need of a place to read about science with a comfortable area. They will be able to go and read a book on science in a comfy bean bag chair. When we are doing rotations in science and some of the students are working on the experiment while others are reading they will now have a place to go. They are also in need of electricity experiments to explore to cover the core for 5th grade in Utah. The students will use this in our electricity unit to help them understand what electricity is all about.
