This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In the urban community, science is not a favorite for many students. With that being said, educators need to make it fun and conduct memorable activities that will make students fall in love with science. I pride myself on giving my students amazing lessons and activities and many students are excited to conduct labs and do experiments but we lack the resources to carry on these experiments. Hands on experiences for students are necessary when trying to reach the youth. They tend to be more focused when having a manipulative to play with. This will build the confidence to showcase their hard work in our upcoming science fair. Being able to show science experiments and explain why these phenomenons are happing can spark a student to fall in love with science.
