This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

With your help I will be able to provide my students with experiments that will deepen their understanding of science.

As a teacher in a school with 100% of our students receiving free and reduced price lunch, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Because of these challenges, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences that will spark their love of learning by giving them meaningful lab experiences.

My Project

Participating in the science fair is mandatory, in my school district. Most students on my campus come from low socioeconomic, single-parent homes and may not have the funds necessary to buy needed materials for school presentations.

The display boards are vital in helping our students learn how to organize their information and develop essential communication skills.

Students will learn how to make their projects visually appealing, clear, and easily understandable to fellow students, judges, and community members. These boards will allow our students to have the opportunity also to learn presentation skills as they advance to district level competitions and beyond.
