I work in a Title I school district with a diverse group of kids. These students come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Most love to come to school and strive to learn and improve every day.
Many of these kids love to read and explore the world through science.
They are always looking for new things to explore around them or looking for new books to spark their imagination. They are a great class with an amazing sense of adventure.
My Project
Our state has adopted new elementary science curriculum this year. We will be exploring weather patterns and magnetism this year. The weather climate kit will allow students to apply the weather knowledge they have learned into real world application. They will be given the opportunity to solve multiple real world problems in a hands on way with this kit.
Hands on learning really helps students become more engaged in science and helps the learning stick.
The magnet kit will let students explore how magnets interact in a fun hands on way. They will be learning through cars and other real life examples.
