Science Experiments for More Engaged 4th Graders!

My Project

Most of the students in my class are ELL. Because of this, it is important to have ways to engage them with hands-on projects and activities. All of the materials would be used by the students in each of these lessons. I really would like them to be able to experience these lessons hands-on instead of only watching the videos of other people doing the experiments.

These materials will make engaging in Science and critical thinking skills possible.

The cart and bins will be used to organize the supplies needed for different lessons. An example of one of the experiments that we could do with these materials teaches students about heat energy and energy transfer in which the lamp and bulb would be used along with a "spinner" made from the other materials. The experiment shows students how heat creates energy, and the lesson expands to discuss how far we used to be able to go before planes and cars.
