Help me give my students school supplies for science such as colored pencils, spiral notebooks, composition books and sticky chart paper for group work!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a high school special education teacher I work with a wide range of students from age 14 to 18 in grades 9 through 12. I work with students in the general education science classroom and support in classes such as physical science, Biology, chemistry, and A&P. What I love most about my students is their resilience and their willingness to learn.
My students may not have the easiest lives, but they are kind and have a strong desire to learn and succeed every day.
My students keep me on my toes and forever entertained. I appreciate their sense of humor and youthful energy. I am lucky to be with them each day!
My Project
The materials in my project will make a difference for many students in the science classroom who do not have access to spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, or coloring utensils. Having access to these materials will allow all students to participate in class!
Post-It Chart Paper will allow students to have group discussions, work in pairs, and complete lab activities around the room.
Having chart paper will allow students to work cooperatively and write down their ideas for their classmates to see! Chart paper has a number of classroom uses from aiding in group discussions to the creation of classroom posters.
