My Students

Hello! I am an IDEA teacher working with students obtaining their occupational diplomas. This is a rigorous program that not only requires students to take general education classes, but helps prepare them with necessary skills that will enable them to succeed post high school.

I work with a great bunch of students.

They all have hidden talents, skills and abilities that we are working to cultivate as they prepare for life after high school. Some of my students don't have the best self esteem, so it's important that I build upon some of their talents to help them realize everything they have to offer.

I teach Life Skills Science which comprises material including health, nutrition, family, environmental and physical sciences.

My Project

My diverse population needs your help! With the use of technology increasing in schools, I want to prepare my Life Skills Science students with valuable abilities that can be applied to school, work and daily life.

We have limited resources with regard to technology in my class.

Having chrome books for the students to use would not only increase their technological ability, it would enable those with limited access to technology, the opportunity to gain valuable skills that will be applied throughout their lives.

Many of my students struggle with their ability to stay focused, and on task. By creating interactive, technology driven lessons that the students can take part in and remain engaged, I will be able to build upon their strengths and bridge deficits.
