Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at the tip of Texas in a Title I school, where 95% of our students are economically disadvantaged. Each one is a special individual coming from a different background.
A typical day in my classroom begins with my students walking in with a huge smile on their faces eager to begin their day no matter the obstacles they face.
As their teacher, my goal is to provide my students with genuine 21st century experience and help them reach their full potential! Therefore, I feel honored to be part of their learning journey.
My Project
I am asking for one iPad to give my students access to technology. With this iPad, my 5th grade students will be able to expand their knowledge and navigate through a world of math and science.
Technology is vital in our world today and I need your help to give them the tools necessary to succeed.
Due to the lack of technology, my students have a lot of trouble understanding subjects that they do not have prior knowledge on. If my students receive the iPad they will be able to learn science in a extraordinary way through stem scopes and math through fun educational programs like education galaxy, think through math, and reflex math. This iPad will help them make discoveries that will accompany them forever in their learning journey.
