Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies requested will help students learn about the life cycle of a caterpillar. They can watch it transform and take notes on their scientists' journal with their pencils and draw with their color pencils and write down their observations as they watch these caterpillars grow and transform into a butterfly.

What better way to learn science than by watching it unfold before your very eyes.

In addition, to the butterfly habitat, I am requesting a live ant colony for students to watch how ants live, work together and interact.

By helping with this project, the students in my class will be able to gain a hands on opportunity to watch and explore living organisms in our classroom.

With these insect habitats our class can engage in conversation, develop responsibility skills in taking care of our live habitats and they will have opportunity to witness a lifecycle in real time.
