My Students

What would school be without field trips? They give students hands-on experiences to connect to the learning they do in class. With this Science Camp trip, our school is striving to give our students just that. An experience they will never forget.

Our school is a buzz of activity, focused on giving kids the opportunities that they may not get elsewhere.

Our school, which has a strong history of Math and Science education, strives to engage all of our students in activities that will enrich their lives and leave a lasting impression. We are in a high-need, low income public school, nestled in the heart of southern California. Each of the students in the 5th grade class is a vibrant, excited learner, who looks for the next opportunity to gain knowledge.

My Project

All of the fifth grade students at our school will take a day long field trip to the local mountains to participate in an outdoor experience led by naturalists who will guide them in team building activities while learning about the local ecosystems, biomes, survival skills, and local plants and animals. They will study tidepools, animal adaptations, and gain an understanding of the impact of human intervention on the preservation of these fragile ecosystems. Through these activities, the students will walk away with a greater awareness of our environment and the importance of people working together to produce change.

None of this will be possible without your generous support of our students.

Your donation to our field trip project will help the students of the 5th grade class learn about the environment surrounding them, as well as the skills necessary to both survive in and protect it. Your support of our class field trip will give the students the gift of an experience they will never forget.
