My Students
My students are very eager to learn. My classroom is composed of 21 loving students who are all growing up in the inner city of Downtown Miami. Our school is in the heart of Miami, servicing the neighborhoods of Over town, Allapatah, and Liberty City.
100% of my classroom is comprised of minorities, including their teacher (me!).
Additionally, we have one ESE scholar, and five ESOL scholars in our school family.
Every day we work hard to not only meet our academic school goals, but goals to ensure we are being kind to our school family with a focus on being leaders.
My Project
These books will help our students take a deeper look into science. Most of our science work is displayed on the smart board, which is GREAT! However, I feel that the children should have another avenue of learning science.
The large books will help me grasp their attention and start a classroom discussion on our science and inquiry studies, while the science sight word books will allow them to take ownership in their studies and read to themselves or others on our science topics.
I feel that these books can help our scholars learn their science topics while practicing their literacy.
