My Students

Who doesn't love to get into a good science book? My students love to learn about science, but we do not have access to bright and colorful books they can learn from.

My students are a bright bunch of first graders!

They are very full of energy and always have a lot of questions when it comes to science! They always want to know how things work and why! My students live in a city where they do not get the opportunity to explore these science topics on their own time. Many of their parents work two jobs and they tend to take care of themselves.

My Project

The book sets I am requesting are perfect for my little inquisitive learners!! They explain all about how things work, where animals come from and all about plants. We will learn many of these topics in our science lessons and it would be great to have engaging books to go along with the topics to help feed their need to learn more!

By having Hands on Science, DK science readers, and books about plant parts, my students will be able to explore science on their own reading time as well as listen to them as a read aloud when we learn about each topic in science class.
