My students need books that they can borrow and bring home so that they can continue to learn science at home.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a predominantly Hispanic school where majority of the students come from economically disadvantaged families. They often lack learning support from home because both parents are working or have multiple jobs. Many of my students lack the resources that also limits their range of learning experiences.
Despite their situation they have always shown their eagerness and enthusiasm in learning science.
They always enjoy doing experiments and learning about new concepts and ideas. I would like for them to share and bring this learning at home.
My Project
My students are wonderful and enthusiastic learners that often do not have necessary resources that will help them learn more from home. The books that I have selected are aligned with our science objectives and can be used as resources for projects and research. This will give them extra information about the lesson we are learning in science. But most importantly, the students can borrow these books and bring them home.
Your generous donation in support of this project will help my current and future 5th grade students to have access to books about science.
By being able to bring these books they can continue learning and share it with their family.
