My 4th grade students bring many different learning styles to each lesson. High energy is channeled through collaborative learning. Students work together and are encouraged to move to learning stations to enhance their understanding of state and county standards. My class is a combination of various learning differences that require frequent movement and opportunities to move through class instruction. Students in my 4th grade classroom are developing social skills and learning how to appropriately work in groups with less teacher-directed instruction than in their previous years.
My Project
Students are loving science and learning through research and exploring. With access to storage caddies, book bins, and classroom supply caddies, the teacher can purchase materials for successful projects and keep supplies organized during the entire lesson.
So that students are not only engaged but organized during their learning, we are requesting connect & store bins for science notebooks, storage caddies for resources, and a magnetic display shelf for access to books before, during, after their experiments.
Students are encouraged to take risks and collaborate with others. Keeping materials organized over multiple days can be challenging, so organization is the key to their success.
