Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager to learn and love to get their hands dirty while learning. We love to explore as a class. Learning is fun. They are very competitive and love to achieve. Students need to be able to learn in an environment that will help them learn and in which they feel comfortable. I want them to feel successful in school and learn to love the journey of learning. It is so fun to see their faces when they figure out the assignment through exploration and connect all the information. We are integrating reading, science, and math. It is so great to see them talk about learning and how much fun it is to be in school.
My students are from low-income or homeless backgrounds and don't get many opportunities for exploring or trying new things, and this will allow them to do both.
These items will help them to enjoy learning and have a desire to engage in learning.
My Project
During this time we are teaching students at home with very little to no resources. Please help me give some learning activities to my students to continue their learning and enjoy learning at home. This will help with science exploration. We are going to use Solar kits to learn more about energy and electricity. The students will also be learning about magnets and magnetism.
Exploring science is the best way to learn and remember what you have learned.
