My Students

My students love to have hands on projects and units in Science and Social Studies. It helps them really comprehend what it was like in certain parts in our history. They understand so much better when they have concrete items in front of them, when they can move during lessons, and when they can get as much information as possible from books! They also needs lots of whiteboard markers and supplies to be able to execute math strategies sufficiently. This group of students try so hard and they have the biggest hearts. I have some students who struggle with sitting in one spot so having some flexible seating options will allow more blood flow to the brain which helps them focus. Students like to move around so having flexible seating options available for them is also important.

My Project

My students love to have books that they can read that tie into our Science and Social Studies units.

With these books students can learn about other countries, cultures, people in history and how they have changed our world today, and different Native American tribes.

My students get so excited when they read books that involve information we have learned about in class. It gives them a way of connecting topics to what we are currently learning about.

They get the biggest smiles on their faces when they look through a book and learn new facts so they can add it to our concept wall in our classroom.
