My Students

My classroom is a place where students are challenged to think outside the box and to never give up. I always give my students an opportunity to succeed in their own way. Everyone is smart and is capable of doing anything they choose.

My school is an amazing place where every teacher believes in their students.

We do not have a lot of money, but this does not stop us from making a difference in our students' lives. Students are bused in from all over, and poverty is something we see on a daily basis. We usually pay for our own classroom supplies because not every parent can afford to help.

We do not have money for many expenses at our site; however, that does not stop us from trying to create the best learning experience we can for our students. Our school is small, with only about four hundred and fifty students in grades prekindergarten through fifth grade. Many of my students live in poverty and have real-life struggles, but all of that is forgotten when they walk into my classroom.

My Project

Students love to engage in activities that are hands on and challenge their thinking. STEAM activities have combined critical thinking skills with art. Students these days are well versed in screen time but when it comes to art skills they need as much experience as they can get!

My 5-year-old students need to learn how to cut, color, and use their creativity.

Science is a fun way for students to learn about the world all around them. During Science, my students need to show what they have learned through art. Students will use the construction paper and crayons to create art based off of the Science we are learning. Students will be able to use the construction paper to work together to create projects based off what we are learning. This helps my students continue their learning in Science but at the same time they are practicing their fine motor skills with cutting and coloring.
