Science Alive Through Reading, Writing, and Creating
My students need non-fiction books to continue their explorations as scientists. These are always the most popular books in our classroom library!
This project expired on May 3, 2011.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Reading will provide everything to students as they pursue their education and future learning. Non-fiction books allow them to learn about endless things in our world.
My 2nd grade students are sponges who can't get enough reading about real things, gross things, and things they may never see in life!
By reading informational books these students can travel around the world without ever leaving the classroom. They can learn about things they may never see but the wealth of knowledge these books provide for them is priceless!
Students don't ever have to travel if they have exposure to books that take them around the world and show them the endless things the world has to teach them. Reading non-fiction books may just give us our next scientist to discover a cure, clean the air, or provide a life changing piece of equipment for someone.
In this ever changing economy I have had to scale back on the amount of personal money I use to fund materials in my classroom.
For someone to make a difference by helping out you are providing for our future.
