My Project

MAGIC! is a school-wide program that encourages students and staff at Marshall Ranch to model good behavior, show responsibility for their actions, give respect to everyone, improve themselves through goals, and cooperate. Following MAGIC! will benefit every person, not only in school but also in personal relationships and achievement throughout life. To support this, Marshall Ranch wants to build upon the foundations of the program to provide incentives for demonstrating areas of MAGIC!. Students will have the opportunity to earn “MAGIC! Bucks” for demonstrating positive behaviors which they can exchange for items in a school-wide store.

Since the implementation of MAGIC!, Marshall Ranch has seen a positive increase in student motivation in all areas across the school environment.

Our students have worked so hard, among their teachers, to incorporate further opportunities to demonstrate their MAGIC! skills. Around campus, students are taking the initiative, building upon the foundations of the program, to create their own form of healthy competition and demonstration of MAGIC!.

The implementation of the MAGIC! Store will be an extension of our character-building curriculum and lessons, that offers students an opportunity to earn tangible rewards like art and school supplies, playground balls, and fidget toys for demonstrating the components we look for in our MAGIC! Students. This will help encourage students to continuously show good citizenship in and out of the classroom. In addition to this, students will also learn organization, money management, perseverance, and other important life skills that provide readiness to be productive members of society.
